This is my favorite of all the picture I took of the snowfall February 2001. |

The night of Thursday, February 15th, 2001
We had our one dose of snowfall for the year that actaully stuck to the ground, and lasted all of two full days. It was almost entirely gone by Sunday morning.
I took these pictures between 12m and 1 am. Considering that my apartment has a lovely view of a concrete wall, and the fact I was in bed, I wouldn't have known about the snow falling until sometime on Friday if it hadn't been for a call from Michael.
So I got dressed and went for a short walk with my camera.
Here are some pictures around Pilgrim Church. There are two more in the daytime at the end of the page.

| On Friday morning the 16th, I went out to take more pictures. It was a lot diferent then the night berfore, when there had been very little traffic and everything seemed untouched. Its a little different once the city wakes up. There were lots of shopkeepers working to get the snow off of their awnings. |

| I loved the look of all the trees covered in snow. Everything was just so pretty. |

| We had a rather dry winter here in Seattle. Very odd indeed, and it was already warming up enough that things were blooming. The cold snap and snowfall surprised the plants if not us. I felt sorry for these little pansies trying to survive it all. Seems that the cold didn't last long enough to really kill anything. Everything is much greener now, of course. |

I happen to think that Pilgrim is a beautiful church, and that it was even prettier under the snow. |
