Easter weekend came early this year, and was near the end of March. As is our usual, Michael and I went to Norwescon. This year I managed to enjoy the convention more than I have the last few. Two things helped with this. (1) was going to the opening ceremonies, seeing Suzette Haden Elgen and deciding that I wanted to see more of her. (2) I went to one panel session on Thursday night, and remembered that I never enjoy them, and resolved to not attend any more the rest of the weekend. We focused on the "1 person shows" (Which fit with #1 very well). |

I enjoyed attending most of Suzette Haden Elgen's sessions. She's smart and funny, and I found the linguistics discussions fascinating. |
Erika had the best fairy wings I've ever seen. In keeping with the conventions "language" theme, these are metal wings with poetry magnets on them. |
This is the Orbital Platform Maintenance crew, taking a coffee break. Clever. |
Here's my Friday night outfit. I got lots of compliments and attention for this. It was quite entertaining for me. Unfortunately, this being the first time I'd worn these boots I was only able to keep them on for a couple hours. |

Here's Mike and Elle on Saturday afternoon, in costume. |
Mike won a hall costume award for this outfit, which Elle made for him. |
Michael looking handsome. |
And checking out the afternoon program with Elle. Deciding what to do next. |

Me and Tamara, on Saturday night. I always enjoy running into folks here that I don't get to see hardly anywhere else. |
She has a beautiful seaweed tattoo that wraps around her body. We even talked about doing portraits, which would be lots of fun. |
Ashley, another person I don't get to see often enough. |
Janice, and baby Don being terribly cute (and this is coming from me, the gal who really doesn't like children.) |
