Back in February there was a day trip to Portland. Michael needed to get there for a weekend of Tango classes he'd signed up for, and I decided to drive him down. But I wasn't staying becuase I hadn't taken any tango classes yet. Mike came along to keep me company for the day, and on the drive back.

So, of course we went to Powell's. Wandered around in there for a couple hours. Laughed ourselves silly over the "Bad Cat" book. Then I took these pictures across the street, under a very odd sculpture.

We had some lunch, and then drove up a hill to a rose garden. Since it was February, the garden was all thorns. I was amused, and mostly wanted to get out of the car and stretch my legs for a bit. And before heading home, we saw this lovely sunset.
