Yesterday was Michael's birthday and of course we had a party. Luckily I had helpers for taking pictures, because I was way too busy hosting. Even more luckily I had helpers with the hosting part.

My mom, Sue, and our friend Punzel took pictures for me. I actually managed to take a few too, and I've cropped and touched them all up for posting here.

Peggy was my official co-host for the party and she was incredible. I don't think I could have done it without her. Andrea also helped out quite a lot, because she's a wonderful friend. Much thanks to them both.

Punzel surprised Michael by driving here from Dallas (in three and a half days) in time for his birthday. Which is to say that he knew she would be here some time soon, but he didn't think she would arrive for a couple weeks yet. She and I conspired and she was waiting for us at a restaurant on Sunday morning. It was agonizing trying to get him there, he was taking his sweet time, and I didn't want to give anything away by rushing him too much, and she waited for an hour. I took this picture right after the big squeeze-the-life-out-of-you-becasue-I'm-so-happy-to-see-you hug.
