Michael is the host of the All Saint's Day party. He's been doing this for a few year's now and it is part of his holiday tradition.

Besides simply having a few friends over for spiced cider, mulled wine and good company, Michael invites folks to write something about someone they care about who has died. He supplies black paper and metalic pens and does not pressure anyone into participating.

Lauri and Michael have been hosting these parties together for a few years and it has gone marvelously.

I moved in with them in June (2001) and I have added my own touch to the traditions that already existed. Protraits of all those who attended.

I think this is a wonderful picture of Michael and me.

Now we have an element of tradition for remembering the dead as well as one for celebrating the living. Here are the friends who joined us:

Scott and Jeanine Swanson.
