Not a great picture by any means, but the only one I ever took of the Pergola, which was destroyed by an incompetant truck driver Jan. 15th 2001. It had stood in Pioneer Square for 92 years (built in 1909). Here is a link to the story of the Pergola's destruction, with a picture. Here's an amazing old black and white photo of it. And here I have found a great story about the history and rebuild idea's for the Pergola and Pioneer Square. From a ferry ride a few years back. I could almost say the tug boat was posing for me. The Space Needle can be a fun subject. Here are a couple pictures of the Seattle Skyline from a ferry going west to the peninsula. March 2001.
