snow@w... - Grave Yards   5/12/01; 1:17:14 PM (reads: 3350, responses: 0) This is a graveyard I visited in 1995 while on a trip to see family. This is (if I recall correctly) a Scandinavian cemetary in Rockford, IL. The statuary fascinates me. There were several plaques on this one, for various family members. Simply beautiful. This is just strange. I don't know if it is some sort of tomb, or not. There were no names or markings on the outside. It struck me that this looked like a chess board. Have you ever thought a cemetary looked like a chess board?
