Pride Parade 2003

We watched the Pride Parade this morning/afternoon. Took lots of pictures as you can see here. I found the web page for the parade useful, especially the Line Up and Map.

(60 second AVI of Dykes on Bikes)

Our little group. Just imagine me sitting in the empty chair there on the right. (L to R) Jeanine, Scott, Michael. Artana standing behind my chair and Maxx is hiding behind Michael.

I believe this is the first time I've seen a rabbit at the parade.

(Can't recall)

The Lovely Artana, and The Shy Maxx

They went to wave HI to the comentators that were on top of the Broadway Market.

I think they look great.

These half naked girls with cameras seemed to be having fun.

Lambert House's float

The aQUEERium

The Sister's of Perpetual Indulgence. Don't they all look fabulous? They always do. I love seeing them. The butterfly balloons carrying the light blue dress train is the best.

We're getting a little tribal here. I think these are POCAAN.

I liked this little ceremony, but I wish they had been closer.

More fabulous costumes. This feathery white one is amazing.

Firetruck. I missed the real show, I saw several people a block away all go running into the street and lie down. By the time I realized it was for the firefighters they were getting up and dispersing. I think it was because last year one woman did this and the firefighters came to her rescue. *L* This year everyone wanted in on the act. *grin*

The "AIDS isn't over!"truck.

Seven Star Women's Kung-Fu. Demonstrating self defense techniques.

I think that's a dog.

Scuba divers club.

PETA pig

It's the hair that got my attention of course. She was calling for a square dancing group.

Segways!
