So I Married an Axe Murderer (VHS)

I just watched this movie again last night. I love this movie. I can't even tell you how many times I've seen it since it's release in 1993. Even when I know what's coming, I still laugh out loud quite a lot. Of all Mike Myers movies this is my Favorite.

Pleasantville

I watched this last week for the first time. I had only seen one preview for it and honestly it seemed like a fluffy brainless movie to me. I was quite happily surprised to find that it has a very good story, dealing with some pretty serious issues. It's well developed, and has not only a happy ending but a satisfactory one.

Fallen

When I watch a thriller its best if I don't watch it alone, or at night. Both of which were true when I watched this last week. *grin* I had to get up and move around, turn some lights on, that sort of thing. If it gets to me it was good. It had some nice twists in the story that I didn't have time to expect. I like that too. Also, I like stories with a particular otherworldliness to it. This one tells you right on the box that it's about a dective trying to track down a killer who is actually a demon moving from one human host to another through physical contact. I don't need a movie to have a straight up happy ending, and its a good thing since this one is left a little to interpretation. This is particularly nice. I prefer to be able to have my own opinion, instead of the movie-makers opinion be force fed to me.

P.S. You can follow the Title links to Amazon.com where you can buy these movies.
